Punartham Nal Ravi Varma Raja 
passed away on 4th May , 2002 at Pandalam Palace. He was 86. 

The new incumbent to the position of the Head of Pandalam Royal Family (Valiya Thampuran) is Revathi Nal Rama Varma Raja.
